Josh James Fraser is a piper from Inchinnan, Scotland who is study the Bmus Traditional Music- Piping Course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.  He currently plays for Johnstone Pipe Band Grade 2 and is Pipe Major of the Johnstone Grade 4 Pipe Band.  He is also a member of The National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland.  Josh has travelled to countries such as Germany and Switzerland to play in gigs, Tattoos and to teach.

As nobody in Josh’s family is a piper it is odd that he wanted to play the pipes but as his parents had a keen liking for Scottish music they made him pursue the pipes.  Josh was first taught by Keith Bowes Senior who lived just two doors down the road from him in Inchinnan.  He was taught for six year by Keith Senior and he was then taught by Keith Bowes Junior for a further three years.  He now receives tuition from many instructors at the National Piping Centre such a Finally Macdonald which is part of his degree at the Conservatoire.
